Weekend fetish parties in Montreal

The scene goes out on weekends. Friday and Saturday for the dance nights, Saturday most often for play parties, and Sunday keeps two or three quieter things going. This page holds both formats across those three days. They do not ask for the same preparation, and it is worth knowing which one you are buying a ticket for.

Dancing or playing

At a club night you dance, and play is limited or absent. A play party has spaces set aside for it, and almost always booking ahead. Some venues run both on the same night, in two separate rooms, and say so at the door.

What to wear, and when to show up

The dress code is enforced at the door, no exceptions and no refunds. Head-to-toe black gets you in almost anywhere when you own nothing yet. Doors open late, often 10 or 11 pm, and plenty of people arrive after midnight. Showing up at opening means walking into an empty room.

Sundays

Fewer parties, but not nothing. It is the day of munches, late-afternoon workshops and sometimes a rope jam. For a first brush with the scene it is far easier than a Saturday at midnight.
