BoucleBot

The collection robot behind Boucle. You have probably seen it in your logs.

What it does

It reads the events your site already publishes as structured data: event APIs, schema.org, sitemaps. It never reads a page requiring an account and never submits a form. It does download an event’s poster to serve a resized copy, credited to your site; write to us and we delete it.

Collected events appear in a free community calendar, with a link back to your own listing.

How it behaves

It honors your robots.txt. It makes one request at a time to any given domain, at least 1.2 seconds apart, and stops at 60 requests per visit.

If your server asks it to wait or answers with an error, it gives up rather than insisting.

To stop it

Add these two lines to your robots.txt and it will stop on its next visit.

Getting in touch

You can also ask us to remove your organization: its source is then deactivated, and your future events stop coming in.
