What goes into Boucle, and what does not.
The “verified” badge
It says one thing: we are in direct contact with this organization. We know who to write to when a date moves or a report comes in, and they can keep their own listings up to date from their space.
It says nothing beyond that. Not that the night is safe, not that it is accessible, not that consent is well handled there. A verified organization can also have events picked up from a public source that they have never opened, like any other.
An organization gets the badge by writing to us, and it comes off if the contact goes quiet.
Write to usNo personal names
An event belongs to an organization, never to an individual. There is no field for a named organizer, no attendee list, and no photograph of a person — not on the site, not on the images we generate.
A submission containing a name is edited or discarded.
One exception only: the stage name of a billed performer, when the event’s own ticketing announces it. It appears in the event’s text alone, never as an organization and never on an image.
Only what is already public
Automated collection only reads pages reachable without an account: event APIs, structured data, sitemaps. Our robot identifies itself, honors each source’s robots.txt and spaces out its requests.
FetLife and private Facebook groups are never collected. What lives there only appears here if someone submits it.

Everything that arrives through the submission form is read over before publication. Events announced by an organization we are in contact with may go up directly.
Every decision is recorded with the name of the person who made it.
Images
Sharing images are composed from the event’s own text, on our own template. We never build one from an organization’s poster: it is not ours.
When an organization publishes a poster, the agenda shows a thumbnail of it and the event page shows it with a credit. We keep a resized copy on our own servers: the originals sometimes weigh several megabytes, and some links expire within days. Removing it from your site therefore does not remove it from ours — write to us and we delete it.
What this site does not do
No ticketing, no payments, no accounts, no advertising.
