Shibari, rope and rope jams in Montréal

Montréal carries the densest kink scene in the country, and by far the best organised. The Village concentrates the bars and club nights, the Plateau and Villeray the rope studios, the Mile End the workshops. Something happens most evenings, and munches have been the way in for twenty years.

Rope bondage has its own scene in Canada, its own studios and its own vocabulary. You will find shibari, kinbaku, and plenty of people who simply tie without putting a label on it. Several cities have an active group and, most weeks, at least one gathering.
