Play parties and dungeons in Ottawa

Ottawa straddles two provinces, and so does its scene — several events happen on the Gatineau side. It is quieter than Montréal’s or Toronto’s, and travels largely by word of mouth at munches.

Parties where play is allowed on site, in space set aside for it. That is what separates them from a club night, where people dance. They are held in dungeons, private lofts or rented venues, and almost always require booking ahead.
