This weekend workshop is a deep dive into Tension’s Level 1 (floor play) curriculum—a focused and hands-on experience designed to build your rope fluency, boost your confidence, and inspire your creativity.

Whether you’re new to rope and looking for a concentrated way to get started, or you’ve already taken classes and want to refresh and strengthen your skills, this intensive is for you. It’s also a great fit if you’ve taken a break from tying and want a solid, guided re-entry into your practice.

Over 12 hours, you’ll work through a carefully structured progression of exercises that cover essential techniques, structural principles, and creative applications. You’ll practice how to tie with flow, intention, and adaptability, learning how to respond to different bodies and scenarios. Real-world tying challenges will help you apply what you learn and push your skills further.

We’ll also spend time exploring the experience of being tied. This includes body awareness, communication, and risk management—key knowledge for anyone who ties or is tied. Understanding both sides of the rope creates safer, more connected, and more satisfying scenes.
